R.49 in legno di canfora ( la radice), su base di piastra e tondino di ferro; peso circa 60/70 kg., dimensioni approssimative cm.100x90x70, lo spessore del legno e` di circa 50cm. e l'altezza totale e intorno ai 90 cm..
R. 49 is made in Canphor tree (the root), on a plate and stick of iron ;
weight about 60/70 kg., size around cm.100x90x70. thikness about 50cm. and the height is nearly 90cm. .

Jun '06, the Begging of R.14: Seeking the wood
Verso la fine di giugno iniziai la scultura che poi portai avanti e conclusi durante l'evento di Kaonj, cosi andai in giro alla ricerca del legno giusto...e finalmente...
In the end of Jun I begun to work on my last sculpture which I finished in July during the Kaonji event, so I went around seeking the right wood... and finally...
...Scusa ma vorrei proprio quello sotto a tutto il resto!

The very first cut!
Dopo aver scelto l'albero, ora scelgo quale parte, poi il trasporto in segheria per i tagli da cui si otterra` il centro.
N.b.: a questo punto sono circa 500 kg di legno x cm.180 e un diametro di circa 60cm. .
After have choise the tree, I choise which part of it, then we move at the sawmill for cuting and have just the center.
note: at this point it's still about 500 kg. for cm.180 and a diameter about 60cm. .
... now just chainsaw ...
Ecco! ottenuto il centro si inizia il lavoro con la motosega.
n.b.: il legno e` canfora, molto bello da vedere, toccare e da lavorare, non duro e comunque compatto, mai brutte sorprese! Inoltre e` mooolto profumato, a volte troppo. Tra la benzina della motosega e l'odore del legno ogni tanto girava la testa!
Here we are! I got the center and now just chainsaw work.
Note: The wood is Canphor, very beautiful to see, touch and working with, not hard and yet solid, never a bad surprise! Also a very stroooong smell, sometimes too much, with the chainsaw's gasoline and the wood's smell sometimes the head had shake a bit.

Nel laboratorio in Kaonji. Primo assemblaggio per controllare equilibrio e rotazione: nessun problema al primo colpo! Non male!
A questo punto il peso e` tra i 150 e 200 kg piu`circa 80 per la base, e tale rimarra`.... per sempre!
At Kaonji's workshop. Testing balance and rolling, no problem at once!
no bad, no bad!!!
At this moment the weight it's in between 150 and 200 kg and 80 kg for the base, and so will remain... for ever!
